Engage Books presents a scholarship of $500 to any athlete in the Alberni Valley Wrestling Club who achieves five placings at the BC Provincial Championships. To attain this award, a wrestler must place top 6 in grade 8, the first year they are eligible to compete at the Provincial Championships. This is a very challenging feat, and demonstrates a high level of grit and determination in a young athlete. This year, the award goes to Seth Price. His placings include 5th in grade 8, 5th in grade 9, 2nd in grade 10, 3rd in grade 11, and 2nd in grade 12. The $500 scholarship will go towards Seth’s post secondary education at Vancouver Island University. We wish Seth the best in his studies.
